Our events and meetups bring local parents, nannies, and caregivers together for easygoing outdoor mornings across the North Shore. From loose storytimes and nature walks to casual conversations on a picnic blanket, these gatherings are built to give adults a supportive village and littles the freedom to play, wander, and explore at their own pace.
Diaper Bag Brigade
Pack the bag, meet friends, and explore! Join other caregivers for a casual morning hangout with passive activities to entertain all ages. The Diaper Bag Brigade series was born out of a need to build community among the North Shore nannies, parents, grandparents, babysitters, and anyone caring for littles. Plus it gives us all an excuse to try new places and stretches our imagination for doing new things. Whether your child sits for story-time or wanders off, needs a quick snack break or leads the way, this space is flexible and for you! Every meetup is loosely structured and largely adaptable to the changing group needs. Depending on the monthly location and theme, you can expect anything from sitting on a picnic blanket, to riding bikes under an airplane wing, to meeting a real farmer, or decorating a group rainbow with sparkles and leaves..

SEPTEMBER MEETUP: Transitions
September brought big seasonal shifts, new routines, and evolving schedules, making it the perfect time to explore the concept of Transitions together at Endicott Park. Over three weeks, we read seasonal books on picnic blankets, got hands-on with a popup mud kitchen, and practiced transitioning around the park together as a group. Each week paired a low-pressure activity with conversation prompts for the grown-ups. Thank you to everyone who brought their blankets, embraced the mess, and connected with us for our first series!
OCTOBER MEETUP: Identity
This October, we’re exploring the theme of identity as we build up to Halloween! Join us for activities and discussion prompts around how our littles begin to recognize themselves, express big feelings, and see the world around them. We’ll meet new friends each week and have open ended activity invitations like exploring our reflections, sensory play with masks, and costume day. While the kiddos explore their reflections and discover what makes them unique, we’ll hold space for the grownups with thoughtful discussion prompts around early emotional development, how we speak to our kids own identities, and navigating our own shifting identities as caregivers.

NOVEMBER MEETUP: Gathering
We will meet each Monday morning at the Beverly Regional Airport to explore how planes help bring people together. Throughout the month, we will spend time both inside and out, watching real takeoffs and landings, meeting a pilot (hopefully), and letting your littles dive into hands-on play like packing suitcases, setting holiday tables, and sorting cargo/veggies/etc.. This series is built to let your kids run in a contained space or outside as you need to let them burn off energy and watch planes. Just as importantly we give you the prompts to have meaningful discussions about relevant topics with fellow caregivers while the kids stay (hopefully) immersed in play. Bring the chaos, connect with community, and “take off” into the gathering season with us.
